As a former employee of Cath Kidston after being made redundant just days before payday during a global pandemic, there is only one way I can let out my anger and frustration at this betrayal. I worked at the company for around 4 years. The girls I met in the shop were the loveliest, most supportive team of girls I've ever had the pleasure to work with, and to say we became a family is an understatement. However, all of us were treated with contempt and total lack of respect. We were kept in the dark in regards to the security of our jobs. Communication between head office has always been absolutely terrible but we were hoping to be told about our precarious positions at least. Finally, a few days before payday we were told via email we were to be made redundant and asked to phone into a prerecorded conference call where we were told we had to sort out redundancy, holiday, pay arrears, loss of notice pay, universal credit and jobseekers allowance without help from the company. We were lied to and strung along for years in relation to their debt problem. Head office told us we had nothing to worry about and that we were not in debt when we were in millions of debt. The company refused to listen to the employees who knew the customers best and as a result, got too greedy, charging extortionate amounts with Disney. Dresses cost £95 but cost cheap labour (£25) to make and the products come from India, Vietnam, China etc. The quality of the products absolutely plummeted when they began to get too greedy and moved away from their vintage roots. In all our years working at the store, head office not once thanked us for our hard work, our dedication, our commitment, for staying late and working overtime to prepare for last minute sales. Whenever they came in the shop we were constantly chastised. They would tell us to take sale off, and we'd take sale off and box it all up to send away, and then the very next day tell us to put sale back on the floor! We were always to blame for low sales, never the extortionate prices. Finally, after making 900 of us redundant, the social media campaign they ran was completely insensitive and ignorant. They do not abide by the values they preach. Company full of hypocrites. Please refrain from working for or purchasing from this company. They're in massive amount of debt and hopefully the company will collapse under the stress soon anyway, but don't waste your time with this appalling company.

Placed order, they shipped some items but cancelled others but took all money out and now won't answer emails to give it me back, do not place orders with them, you will loose your money

I have ordered twice from here since…

I have ordered twice from here since cath kidston shops have closed and had a really positive experience both times. Both times the parcel has arrived within a couple of days with all items included (my Xmas order was huge) and lovely quality. Thank you ☺️Xx

Absolutely no customer service

Absolutely no customer service! I’ve emailed Cath Kidston 3 times and also messaged them on social media 3 times as I still haven’t received my order I placed on 4th December. I haven’t received a response at all to any of my emails or messages on social media.I’ve tracked it on the Hermes website and it’s status has been “on its way back to sender” since 11th December even though delivery was never attempted. It doesn’t look like I’m ever going to receive the item, a refund or even a response. Absolutely disgusting customer service for such a big company. I would recommend everyone to avoid Cath Kidston.

Ordered 4 items from the website and…

Ordered 4 items from the website and paid for next working day delivery. My delivery was late, a mug I ordered was smashed to pieces, two travel mugs I ordered were cracked and one item didn’t even show up! Their ‘customer care team’ is conveniently unavailable and a person I’ve spoken to on emails is giving the worst customer service I’ve ever received. I haven’t been given any money back but been told I have to declare that an item is missing, like I’m lying. Will never be ordering from Cath Kidston again. I am quite frankly appalled at the service.

Appalling customer service avoid with a barge pole sent order out wrong would t send missing items refunded me a pittance to buy them myself can’t speak to anyone emails take weeks to resolve very unhappy hope they do go bust!

Worst customer service I’ve ever…

Worst customer service I’ve ever received from a retailer. I made an order for Christmas gifts on 03/12/20 hoping to receive them at most a week later. It’s now the 18th and I’m still waiting. They’ve disconnected their customer service phone line so you can’t talk to anyone, I’ve sent 5 emails and had no response. I’ve decided to raise a claim with my credit card to try and get a refund as they obviously are not going to deliver the items. My partner loves their stuff but we won’t be ordering from them again.

disappointed with your advent calendar

Very disappointed with your advent calendar. I expect the treats to be sample size but there is little variation and so repetitive. However, by far the worst issue is the bath fizzers, they are virtually IMPOSSIBLE to remove from the calendar packaging. I wont be buying this next year.

Corrupt Cath Kidston

Returned an item via Royal Mail 1st Signed For, reference number NV962267459GB.According to Royal Mail tracking, the parcel was delivered back to and signed for by CATH KIDSTON RETURNS.No notification from Cath Kidston regarding the return. No refund to date. No response to my query from Customer Service.

Terrible service

Terrible service. I had placed an order which I realised ASAP I needed to cancel as the item was not needed. Emailed twice no reply and by the time I got a response the order arrived and now I have to pay full postage (recommended recorded delivery from their website) at my expense. You would of thought they would do free returns during a pandemic when you can’t return in store.It’s really sad to see CK like this. I was once a big fan of them and this whole experience has been off putting. I wish I read the reviews before ordering.

Absolutely awful service only received…

Absolutely awful service only received part of an order once again have contacted customer service but to no joy will never buy from them again. Had the same happen on a previous order never received an item and never got a refund thought I would give them a second chance what a fool

AVOID!

AVOID!DO NOT BUY!I have not been refunded my items since June and I could see that I am not the only one! No response from customer services!UNACCEPTABLE0 STARSCLOSE THE SHOP!CRIMINAL! ILLIGAL!

I ordered a bag 22nd of June

I ordered a bag 22nd of June, they said it would be delivered in 5 to 7 days then Cath Kidston cancelled it and said, it was not available and I would get full refund, nothing yet, if you ring customer service line goes dead after two rings, what a joke!! this is criminal keeping customers money, please beware, don't buy from them I wont ever again!!
